Assuming you are a youngin, I shall answer truthfully and nicely. This is simply not true, honey. Think about this for yourself a bit. Most STDs are transmitted through sexual contact. Although lips quite frequently initiate sexual contact- there is a whole bunch more to it. And if you are hoping that lip gloss can protect you when performing oral sex, that ain't gonna work either. The softer lips may feel good to the recipient, but lip gloss, balm, etc. WILL NOT form a protective barrier against an active sore on the genitals.





I am glad you asked the question, it shows you are at least thinking of being responsible. Carry it one step further though next time and ask a respected and trusted adult from your life. The internet contains questionable info, at best, and you never know who is giving you advice or the quality of that advice. And most of all, be responsible and keep yourself safe.
